village-style food, tasty, appetizing..

I recently visited Medan Selera Sri Gunong, formerly known as the Pasar Malam Kunak. Here are a variety of food, especially food dishes that can be ordered by the customers.


To eat at the stall can also (tapau food) to take home.

I also interviewed a trader there are also village-style food stall operators.
here also have grilled fish, vegetables - sayur kangkung,
spinach, grilled chicken, squid, and many more...

Kunak seaweed, can be transformed into food-based tourism

Kunak named seaweed products are not only known in Sabah and Malaysia in general, but the product is now known internationally. 

Mini Estet Sejahtera (MESEJ) Programme implemented in Kg Pangi Kunak in the aquaculture industry such as seaweed and sea cucumber (gamat) open another sheet for the district bucked the trend in the development of marine products. 

This initiative is of course require continued cooperation not only among the operators involved and the fishermen, but also all levels including agencies that seaweed products continue to grow and add value to well into the future.

Gajah pygmy _ antara biodiversiti yang perlu dilindungi

Gajah pygmy adalah sebahagian daripada biodiversiti yang masih boleh didapati di kawasan hutan hujan - rainforest di Kunak, namun populasi taburan jumlahnya tidak dapat dipastikan . 

Kemunculan seekor anak gajah pygmy di sebuah kawasan ladang bersempadan hutan rizab Ulu Kalumpang beberapa tahun lepas menunjukkan hidupan ini masih mengharapkan habitat semulajadinya perlu dipelihara dan dipulihara bukan sahaja sebagai menghargai kepelbagaian biologi, malah ia memberi kesan langsung kepada keseimbangan ekosistem alam semulajadi, seterusnya menjadi aset berharga kepada bumi Borneo yang mana spesies gajah tersebut boleh didapati.

Previously Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) been to Pangi in Kunak to explore the potential development of seaweed industry is said to have many benefits in addition to (click hereits use in food and cosmetic industries. 

The current development of the seaweed industry in Kunak particularly in the area of Pangi give insprasi to the operators, particularly the fisherman, consisting of the coastal villagers there. 

Indeed , the persistence shown by an entrepreneur in seaweed , Kabilah Hassan tribe in the industry working for the past several years to bring success not only to her and her family , but success can be shared with people who see his persistence Kunak up to the international level.

Kabilah,  a seaweed farmer from Kunak, Sabah has been awarded the 'Transformational Power of Broadband Digital Icon Award 2013' by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commision (MCMC).
